After graduating with degrees in Saxophone and Oboe Performance as well as a Business Degree, Douglas, while balancing other passions and business ventures, continued his musicianship teaching and playing in various cover bands, combos, and big bands in LA and Orange County.

Also an actor, Douglas and his many woodwinds have been seen in films, tv shows, and commercials such as "All About Christmas Eve", "The Defenders", "Best Damn Sports Show, Period!", United Airlines, Fruit of the Loom, and Heineken to name a few.

His saxophone teachers include Eric Marienthal, Lanny Morgan, Gary Matsuura, Steve Hommel, Paul Navidad, Ed Peffer, and Ian Rapien.
